2016    Skye Parker - University of Maine Fort Kent

Skye was a middle for the Taft Women’s volleyball team from Kalaheo, HI.

2015    Kamalani Kahele - University of Maine Fort Kent

Kamalani was a libero / DS for the Taft Women’s Basketball team from Honolulu, HI.

2015    Sweet Vaimoui - University of Maine Fort Kent

Sweet was a middle and right side for the Taft Women’s volleyball team from Laie, HI.

2013   Crystal “Lani” Kaiwi – Arkansas-Monticello

Crystal “Lani” Kaiwi came to Taft College from Mililani High School in Hawaii.  Lani played libero for two years at Taft College and was recognized as an Outstanding Athlete in Kern County by the Jockey Club of Bakersfield. Lani was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference.  Lani has transferred to University of Arkansas – Monticello as their starting libero.

2013   Tiffany Mapusaga – University of St. Joseph, Connecticut

Tiffany Mapusaga came to Taft College from Waianae High School in Hawaii.  Tiffany is a very versatile player.  As a freshman, Tiffany was the starting libero and finished the season as a 2nd team All Central Valley Conference member.  As a sophomore, Tiffany moved to the outside and finished the season leading the conference in kills per game and was named to the All-Conference Team. Tiffany was also recognized as an Outstanding Athlete in Kern County by the Jockey Club of Bakersfield.  Tiffany will transfer to University of St. Joseph in Connecticut as an outside hitter.  She will bring great ball control to the program.

2012   Chanel Cantere - University of Northwestern Ohio, Lima, OH

Chanel Cantere came to Taft College from Kailua, HI.  Chanel was an outside hitter for Taft College and was a two time 1st Team All Central Valley Conference awardee.  As a sophomore, Chanel was chosen by her team as a co-captain.  She was also honored at the Kern County Jockey Club as an outstanding athlete. Chanel was one of those players who truly studies the game.

2012   Sina Mauga - New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, New Mexico

Sina Mauga came to Taft College from Ewa Beach, HI.  She played middle for Taft College for 2 years and was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference both of those years.  Sina finished the season 2nd in the State in blocks per game.  She will go to New Mexico Highlands University as a middle blocker.

2012   Onolina Taotofi - Southwest Missouri State University, Joplin, MS

Onolina Taotofi came to Taft College from Honolulu, HI.  She attended Farrington High School in Hawaii.  Ono played middle and right side and received 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference Award.  Ono had a great last minute opportunity to go to Southwest Missouri State University.  She will redshirt her first year in Joplin to learn the team offense and defense in preparation for her junior season.

2011      Brittany Peterson – Peru State College, Peru, NE 
            
Brittany Peterson came to Taft College as a softball player.  However, at 6’1” Brittany thought she may be able to make an impact on the volleyball team.  She worked very hard to learn the position of middle blocker and was named to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference.  Brittany was a two sport athlete at Taft College, also playing the infield for our softball team.  Brittany graduated from Taft College as the Female Scholar Athlete.  She went on to play volleyball for Peru State College in Peru, MB.

2010   Michelle Hardy - Montana Tech University, Butte, MT

Michelle Hardy came to Taft College from Honolulu, HI.  As a freshman, Michelle was the starting libero.  As a sophomore, Michelle was the team’s starting setter.  Michelle received 1st Team All Central Valley Conference honors her sophomore year, which is what gave her the opportunity to get an athletic scholarship at Montana Tech University.

2010   Tina Pulu - Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont, CA

Tina Pulu came to Taft College from Honolulu, HI.  She was chosen as a team captain and was on the 1st Team all Central Valley Conference as an outside hitter.

2009   Courtney Dickerson - Whittier College, Whittier, CA

Courtney Dickerson was a middle blocker and hitter for Taft College and was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference.  Courtney was a strong offensive force for our team.  She will be playing middle for Whittier College as well.  Courtney came to us from Lancaster, CA.

2008   Tessa Asuega - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Tessa Asuega played outside hitter for Taft College and was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference both her freshman and sophomore years. She also served her team as a Co-Captain. Tessa will get an opportunity to play with former teammate, Shannon Todd at Henderson State University.

2008   Sade Greene - California State University, Los Angeles

Sade Greene came to Taft College from Diboll, TX where she played middle block for us and earned 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference honors. After graduating from Taft College, Sade will go on to play at Cal State University, Los Angeles.

2008   Jazmine Kindell - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Jazmine Kindell received 1st Team All Central Valley Conference honors as an outside hitter and served her team as a co-captain. She will join teammates Tessa Asuega and Shannon Todd at Henderson State University.

2007   Krysten Adsuara - Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN

Krysten Adsuara set both years here at Taft College earning a 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference honor and was the Taft College Most Valuable Player her sophomore year. She will go on to play at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.

2007   Michelle Myers - Holy Names University, Oakland, CA

Michelle Myers played middle blocker for Taft College. She was on the Honorable Mention Team for the Central Valley Conference and served her team as a Co-Captain. Michelle will go on to Holy Names University as an outside hitter.

2007   Shannon Todd - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Shannon Todd came to us from Las Vegas, NV. She overcame injury and illness to play out side hitter for us. She earned 1st Team All Central Valley Conference honors and served her team as a Co-Captain. She will be the 4th Taft College volleyball player to go on to play on Henderson State University.

2006   Sarah Van Noy - New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM

Sarah Van Noy followed her sister, Chrissy Ford to Taft College. She played middle hitter for us and received 1st Team All Central Valley Conference honors and was the Taft College Most Valuable Player.

2005   Kaena Apana - East Tennessee State, Johnson City, TN 

Kaena Apana helped Taft College Volleyball win two Central Valley Conference Championships and a 4th place finish in the State.  She finished the season receiving the highest honors in volleyball.  She was on the All State Team in California and on the AVCA All American 2nd Team.   Kaena begins her junior year playing libero for Division I, East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. 

2005   Christi Haia - Menlo College, Atherton, CA 

Christi Haia played outside hitter for Taft College and was on the Honorable Mention Team for the Central Valley Conference.  After graduating from Taft College, she will play outside hitter at Menlo College in Atherton, CA.

2005   Pikake Nutter-Gaudet - California State University, Bakersfield, CA

Pikake Nutter-Gaudet participated in both volleyball and softball at Taft College. She played outside hitter for the volleyball team and catcher for the softball team. She was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference in both sports. Upon graduation, Pikake will go on to play softball for California State University, Bakersfield.

2005   Paepaetele Poasa - University of Alaska, Anchorage, AK 

Pae Poasa was a two year starter at the position of middle blocker for Taft College and helped to lead the team to two Central Valley Conference Championships.  She finished the season as a 1st Team All Central Valley Conference member.  After graduating, Pae will play outside hitter for University of Alaska in Anchorage Alaska

2004   Janice Fonoti - Dana College, Blair, NE 

Janice Fonoti came to Taft College from Kalihi, HI. She played middle blocker and helped her team to a 4th in the State finish. She was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference Team and was on the All Tournament Team at the California Community College State Championships. 

Former TC Volleyball Player Janice Fonoti (2003-2005) Athlete of the Week at Dana College. Volleyball outside hitter Janice Fonoti hit .600 in the Vikings Dana College in Nebraska win over the University of Sioux Falls last week.  Janice hit 19 kills on 30 attempts with only one error.   She has 241 kills this season. Janice is a junior from Kalihi, Hawaii. 

2004   Lehuanani Yap - Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, HI 

Lehua Yap participated in both volleyball and softball while at Taft College. She played setter for Taft College. Lehua led her team to two Central Valley Conference Championships and a 4th place finish in the State. Lehua was selected to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference team, the All Nor Cal Team and the All State Team. She was also on the AVCA 1st Team All American. Lehua also played shortstop on the Taft College softball team receiving 1st Team All Conference honors as well.

After graduation from Taft College, Lehua will go on to continue her volleyball and softball participation at Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, HI.

2003   Shannon Milicic - Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA

Shannon Milicic led her team as an outside to a Central Valley Conference Championship. She was the Central Valley Conference Most Valuable Player and on the All NorCal Team, All State Team and a 2nd Team AVCA All American. Upon graudation, Shannon went on to play at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

2003   Ashley Ogle - Hope International University, Fullerton, CA

Ashley Ogle came to Taft College from Las Vegas. She was on the 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference. Upon graduation Ashley will go on to play at Hope International University.

2002   Katie Swart - California State University, Stanislaus, Turlock, CA

Katie Swart played both outside hitter and middle blocker for our Taft College volleyball team. She was named to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference and was a AVCA All American. Katie was not only strong on the volleyball court, but also graduated from Taft College as the Valedictorian, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Katie will transfer on to play at California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, CA.

Katie received the Commission on Athletics Pepsi Scholar Athlete award in 2002 which is the highest academic honor for a student athlete at the California Community College level.

2001   Jacquelyn Manuma - California State University, Stanislaus, Turlock, CA

Jacquelyn "Jackie" Manuma played middle blocker and earned a place on the 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference. Jackie was always a positive role on and off the court.

2001   Haunani Momoa - California State University, Montery Bay, Seaside, CA

Haunani "Nanz" Momoa was selected to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference. Nanz was an excellent defensive player and strong blocker. She participated in both volleyball and basketball here at Taft College. She will go on to play at California State University, Montery Bay.

2001   Adrianne Page - California State University, East Bay, Hayward, CA

Adrianne Page served the volleyball team as an "All Purpose" player because she performed in all phases of the game. She was selected to the All NorCal Team. Adrianne was also President of the Associated Student Body.

Adrianne was on the Commission on Athletics Pepsi Scholar Athlete honor role for her accomplishments as an athlete and as a student.

2000   Heather Brandt - California State University, Bakersfield

Heather Brandt participated in both volleyball and softball here at Taft College. She was selected to the 2nd Team All Central Valley Conference. Upon graduation, Heather will go on to play softball at California State University, Bakersfield.

2000   Rachel Lee - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Rachel Lee was named to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference as a setter. She was an outside hitter who was converted to a setter which is what gave her an opportunity to go to Henderson State University.

1999    Tamayo, Rosalia  Montana State University, Billings MT

Rosie Tamayo came to Taft College as a middle blocker. She was moved to the outside because she has the ability to hit very, very hard. She was an asset for the 1999 team on the outside. She was named to the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference and went on to play for Montana State University in Billings, Montana.

1999    Teves, Kalei - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Kalei Teves, a 6' 3" middle, whose greatest strength was her ability to block the ball, had the opportunity to play at Henderson State University. While at Taft College, Kalei was named as the Central Valley Conference Most Valuable Player and was a member of the All State Team in California.

1998    Christina Ford - California State University, Stanislaus, Turlock CA

Chrissy Ford was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference and went on to play at California State University, Stanislaus. She accomplished so much while at Stanislaus that they have retired her number "16".

1998    Amanda Thornsberry - Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR

Amanda Thornsberry was our own homegrown Taft High School graduate. She played outside hitter for us and was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference. She was also honored by the Commission on Athletics as one of the 7 female athletes in the state of California to make the Pepsi Scholar Women's Team Honor Roll.

1996    Amanda Smith - University of Alabama, Huntsville, AL

Amanda Smith led the state of California in kills for two years, one as an outside hitter and in her sophomore year, as a middle hitter. She was the first All State volleyball player from Taft College in many years. Amanda was truly instrumental in putting the Taft College volleyball program on the map and make them a program to be recognized.

1996    Cybil Watkins - University of Alabama, Huntsville, AL

Cybil Watkins set the the first Taft College conference undefeated volleyball team. She was not only on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference, but was also named to the All Northern California Team. Cybil was on of the three sophomores who essentially put the Taft College volleyball program back on the map. Cybil had an opportunity to play two more years with her teammate, Amanda Smith, at the University of Alabama, in Huntsville, Alabama.

1993    RaeLynn Kepano - Union College, Barbourville, KY

RaeLynn was the team setter and was on the Honorable Mention All Central Valley Conference Team.

1993    Misty Shafer - Humbolt State University, Arcata, CA

Misty Shafer was one of the two sport athletes on this team. She played outside hitter for our volleyball team and was on the 1st Team All Central Valley Conference as shortstop for the softball team.
