The Taft College women's golf team put together its best round of the season, shooting a season-low 375 at the North Kern Golf Course in Taft on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the Courgars still took the loss to Reedley College by a score of 318-375 in the second conference tournament of the season.
Three Cougars turned in career-best cards in the match. Taft was led Aylssa Irey who shot a collegiate low score of 84. Isabelle Martinez shot 104 and Aylinne Narvaez had a 133 effort, both career lows. Also for Taft, Sierra Pilgrim shot 86 and Kayla Kaszycki turned in a 101 card.
Reedley's Serena DiMauro took individual medalist honors with a score of 78.
Taft returns to action next Tuesday (Sep. 17) at noon when it will conpete at conference tournament #3.
