
TAFT, CA – Just call them road warriors. The Taft College Women's Volleyball Team is on a roll. In their first four games, the Cougars are 4-0 on the season.
They currently rank #17 in the state of California out of the top 25 holding a ranking spot. Taft had an impressive start sweeping Folsom Lake, Los Medanos, and Cuesta, while allowing West Valley one set. In week one, they also had one of their own (Natalie Castillo) selected as Player of the Week in the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association.
The Cougars have solid statistics at 12 kills per set, 10 assists, 2.08 blocks, 3.08 service aces, 20.46 digs.

The next game for Taft is their season home opener this Friday, August 30 at 1:00 pm against Santa Rosa and 5:00 pm against Cerro Coso at the Al Baldock Cougar Sports Center.
