TAFT, CA – Throughout the basketball season, the Taft College Lady Cougars have been competing making it yet another successful season. Balancing academics, film breakdowns, individual and team workouts, community service, scout reports, and games, it can be very time consuming.
During it all, the women's basketball team has always been flexible to assist in the community. Already twice, the Cougars have put forth their efforts to visit the Taft Methodist Church in unloading crates of food from a delivery truck and organizing their kitchen area with a new supply of food for those in need in the community.
TC Head Women's Basketball Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. was proud of his team, "Our program is thankful for the community's support. We will always be available to help in any way we kind. It was very cool to see Pastor Cindy Brettschneider and the church family at our games too. I try and teach our players to understand it's always a blessing to give back and not to expect nothing in return."
