TAFT, CA – After a successful 14-10 wining conference record and advancing to the first round of the State Playoffs, Taft College Baseball accomplishments were also placed on several players.
Four Cougars were honored with First Team Central Valley All-Conference selections and two on the Second Team.
First Team All-Conference were first baseman Owen Hayes, outfielders Jackson Berry and Jesus Gonzalez, and pitcher Kaleb Hay.
Second Team All-Conference were infielder Odnal Rivera and relief pitcher Eric Godinez.
Cougars Head Baseball Coach Vince Maiocco said, "I expect Jackson Berry and Jesus González to be serious candidates for All American honors at the State Tournament in Walnut, CA during Memorial Day weekend. Both had a phenomenal offensive season."
