Tara Kelley is a Taft native as she graduated from Taft Union High School in 2013 before joining the TC volleyball team for the fall 2013 season as a defensive specialist. Tara graduated from Taft College in 2015 with an associate degree in physical education.

Tara was then recruited to play volleyball at the University of Maine in Fort Kent. While playing at the University of Maine, Tara helped her team qualify for the USCAA National Tournament as the ninth seed her junior year and the fourth seed her senior year. Tara graduated with her bachelor’s degree in public safety administration and minored in business.

Tara returned to Taft and is currently coaching volleyball and basketball at Taft College as an assistant coach and is working towards her master’s degree in athletic administration. Tara aspires to coach her young athletes as she was coached at Taft College and wants to be an inspiration as a someone who has been in their shoes.
