
TAFT, CA – On Friday, October 25 Taft College Volleyball faced Merced College at home. The Lady Cougars gave up a set to the Blue Devils Earlier this season and were trying to improve their score this time around.
Taft and Merced were neck and neck through all three sets, but the Lady Cougars came out on top, sweeping the Blue Devils, (25-22, 25-22, 25-22).
"Tonight, we showed that if we play as one unit, there is no limit to what we can achieve. Merced College played at a high level and challenged us from the beginning to the end of the match. The difference in tonight's match is that we remained as a cohesive team and fought together and for each other. Our team responded and gave every ounce of energy they had to secure the win. I am very proud of every single one of them," said Taft College Head Women's Volleyball Coach Mallori Rossi.
Taft will play at Lemoore on October 30. Their next home game is set for Friday, November 1 against Columbia.
