
TAFT, CA – In his first year at the helm, Taft College Head Women's Soccer Coach Lyle Martin, Jr. produced two all-conference players in Celine Corona and Melanie Mejia.
Sophomore midfielder Celina Corona of Palmdale, CA made First Team All-Conference, while freshman forward Melanie Mejia was voted Second Team All-Conference.
Corona scored a season of 14 points, while having an average of 1.5 SH% and a .750 SOG%. Mejia was not far behind scoring 11 points, averaging 4.000 SH% and 1.000 SOG%.
Coach Martin stated, "I am extremely proud of all their hard work on the field and in the classroom. These are two great student-athletes, and I am also thrilled for them being recognized in conference play."
