Gabrielle Brixey enters her fourth season as Taft College’s head coach in 2021. Prior to arrival at Taft, Brixey served as an assistant coach at West Hills College for four seasons (2014-17). Brixey began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ottawa University where she specialized in the outfield and also aided the program's recruiting. 

Brixey was a student-athlete at West Hills College, playing softball from 2008-10 and earned first-team all-conference honors as an outfielder both years. After graduating from West Hills College, Brixey closed out her playing career at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While at Lesley University, Brixey helped lead the Lynx to two NECC Conference championships and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.  She was also a two-time, first-team All-NECC outfielder, was named to the 2012 NFCA All-New England third-team, and was a 2012 NEISCA Honorable Mention All-Star selection.
