We are saddened to lose our former coach, Gabrielle Brixey to a full time position/coach at another community college, but we are very excited that Gaby’s former assistant coach, Morgan Atkinson, will take over as the Interim Head Softball Coach for this year. Before coaching at Taft College, Morgan coached travel ball with the Central Cal Athletics since graduating college. 

Atkinson received her playing experience at Salem University in West Virginia. She was a catcher/utility for Salem where Morgan earned 2017 All ECAC Honorable Mention honors, 2018 Atlantic All-Region Second Team and was on the 2019 Preseason All American team. We are very excited to have Morgan make the smooth transition for our program and for our student-athletes.
