TAFT – Taft College cruised to its fourth straight victory, beating visiting West Hills Lemoore College by a final score of 4-0 on Friday.

The Cougars currently sit in a first-place tie with Fresno City College on top of the Central Valley Conference standings at 5-1. TC has won seven of its last eight games to improve to 11-3-1 overall.

Sophomore Ebubechukwu Ekpemogu tallied a goal and an assist to help lead Taft to Friday's win.

Four different Cougars scored in the contest. Carlos Lopez gave TC a 1-0 advantage with his goal in the 15^th minute and Omar Marquez made it a 2-0 contest after he scored in the 25^th.

The score remained 2-0 all the way until the 75^th minute when Kemmich Uribe scored off the assist from Ekpemogu. And Ekpemogu closed out the contest with the final goal in the 88^th minute.

Angel Navarro, Also Pantoja, and Moises Cisneros all were credited with assists. Jaime Tiscareno picked up the shutout victory in goal for the Cougars, their third straight and 10^th of the season.

Just four games remain in the regular season for the Cougars. They are back in action on Tuesday (Nov. 1) when they travel to Clovis Community College for a 3 p.m. Central Valley Conference game.
