TAFT, CA – Taft College Athletics has hired Tom Olejnik as its new Head Women's Golf Coach starting this fall 2025.

Olejnik brings over 15 years of coaching experience to his role as the Women's Golf Coach at Taft College. A dedicated educator in Kern County for more than 20 years, Olejnik has coached various sports at the high school level across multiple schools, where he has built a reputation for his commitment to student development both in and out of the classroom. Stints as Head Boy's Golf Coach include Golden Valley High School, Ridgeview High School, and Independence High School. He currently holds that position at Independence.

In addition to his teaching background, Olejnik previously was Assistant Wrestling Coach at Moorpark College from 1998-2000. Moorpark earned a state championship wrestling title in 2000 and Olejnik was voted Assistant Coach of the Year in the California Community College Athletic Association—an achievement that highlights his leadership and competitive spirit.

Olejnik received his bachelor's degree from California State University Bakersfield in Business and Marketing and his master's degree from Liberty University in Education.

Olejnik is passionate about helping student-athletes reach their full potential academically, athletically, and personally. He lives in Kern County with his wife and two children and continues to be an active and supportive presence in the local educational and athletic community.
