Bakersfield Jockey Club Honors Two TC Women’s Basketball Athletes

TAFT, CA – On February 4, 2025, Taft College student-athletes Madyn Kassatly and Ella Waufle were recognized by the Bakersfield Jockey Club. Both Madyn and Ella are part of the women's basketball team at Taft College, who were attending to accept their award at Hodel's Restaurant in Bakersfield.

Fresno City College Head Wrestling Coach Paul Keysaw was the event's special guest speaker to award the recipients.

Taft College Head Women's Basketball Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr., along with other athletic coaches and administrators, were present to speak on behalf of their student athletes. Madyn and Ella were two of 18 student athletes to be recognized for their high standards and achievements as a student and athlete in Kern County.

The Jockey Club is a non-profit organization who has been empowering local scholar athletes since 1964.
