Following the close of the 2021-22 season, Taft College sophomore guard Mercy Montgomery was named an All-Central Valley Conference Honorable Mention selection.

Montgomery was a standout in an otherwise tough and shortened season for the Cougars. Montgomery averaged 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds over nine games for Taft. Her finest game of the season came in a loss against Cuesta College when she scored a season-high 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

Montgomery is originally out of Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles.
