Taft College Baseball 2025 Season Opener Begins with Kern County District Supervisor Chris Parlier
TAFT, CA – The 2025 Collegiate Baseball season is upon us. The Taft College Cougars will start off in Cougar Country against Feather River College this Friday, January 24 at 1:00 pm.
Friday's game will open up with a ceremonial "first pitch" by newly elected Kern County District 2 Supervisor Chris Parlier prior to the 1:00 pm game. The Cougars will host the 2025 opening baseball campaign playing a 3-game series starting Friday at 1:00 pm, Saturday at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm against perennial NorCal juggernaut Feather River College. Taft College Cougars are coming off a 2024 season where they made the NorCal Playoffs.
Taft College Head Baseball Coach Vince Maiocco shared his excitement, "The expectations are high once again this year for the Cougars. We hope to see y'all this Friday and Saturday. Go Cougs!"
Taft's next home games will be on February 7 at 1:00 pm versus Mt. San Antonio College and February 8 at 1:00 pm against Antelope Valley College.
