Taft College hosted the Mustangs of San Joaquin Delta College on Tuesday for the fifth game of the season opening home stand. Will Moore took the loss on the bump tossing the first inning and surrendering four runs. Six other Cougar pitchers got action to reach the end of the game.
Taft's offense managed 7 hits. Richard Ortiz scored Nick Kawano with a RBI double in the sixth inning for Taft's only run.
The Taft College Baseball team will go to Stockton for round two with San Joaquin Delta College on Thursday February 9th.
