Grace Witcher, Women's Volleyball

Our Cougar Spotlight is Grace Witcher from the Taft College Women’s Volleyball team!

Grace, a sophomore outside hitter originally from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, recently closed out a tremendous season for the Cougars after helping lead her squad to a Northern California Regional Playoffs berth.

She racked up the postseason honors as Grace was named first-team all-state, All-Northern California, as well as first-team All-Central Valley Conference.

She was named the State Player of the Week by the California Community College Women’s Volleyball Coaches Association during Week 11 after she totaled 16 kills, hit .480, made nine digs while serving seven aces in a sweep over Columbia.

Grace was also honored recently by the Bakersfield Jockey Club.

The TC women’s volleyball team ended the season with an impressive 27-05 overall record and went 14-2 in conference play to finish in second place in the CVC.
