Taft College sophomore middle blocker Keala Skeele earned first-team All-Central Valley Conference honors, sophomore libero Christy Hopfe was a second-team pick, while three other Cougars were named honorable mention at the postseason CVC coaches meeting.

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Pau-De Santos, sophomore middle blocker Madison Barcelona, and sophomore outside hitter Daniela Flores joined Skeele and Hopfe on the all-conference list.

Skeele, originally out of Honolulu, Hawaii, was a second-team selection as a freshman in 2018. She led the conference this year with 75 total blocks while her 0.75 blocks per set average was second in the CVC. Skeele also totaled 150 kills and 118 digs.

Hopfe, from Kailua, Hawaii, ranked fourth in the CVC with 346 digs. She had her finest match of the year on Oct. 16 when she totaled a season-high 27 digs in a three-set victory over West Hills College Lemoore.

Pau-De Santos led Taft with 193 kills and totaled 269 digs and 13 blocks. Barcelona's team-best 51 blocks ranked seventh in the conference. She also had 167 kills on the year. Flores posted 45 kills, 16 aces, 31 digs, and 13 blocks this season.

Taft closed out 2019 with a 9-19 overall record and finished fifth in the Central Valley Conference with a 7-9 mark.
