Amanda Clark has been named the new Taft College softball head coach for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Clark grew up playing softball most of her life and continued to play throughout her college career. She played at the University of Redlands and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2014. In 2015, she had the opportunity to play and coach overseas in Europe.

Following Redlands, she became the volunteer assistant infield coach for the Bulldogs. In 2016, Clark decided to further her education in sports psychology at California State University, Long Beach. While at Long Beach State, she worked with athletic teams on campus as a mental sport consultant intern. In May of 2018, Clark graduated with her master’s in kinesiology, with an emphasis in sport psychology.

Clark served as an assistant coach for Mt. San Jacinto College in 2019 and 2020 prior to taking over the program. She served as the head coach for the Eagles from 2020-Spring 2023.
