This Season: Chavez will kick off his collegiate golfing career with lofty goals. The 2017 Liberty High School graduate will look to have a breakout season after a successful senior season for the Patriots. Chavez was awarded honors as the 2017 BVarsity golfer of the year after being the only player from Kern County to reach the Southern California Regional Championship. Chavez earned his spot in the field after finishing runner up in the CIF Central Section Championship, with an even par round of 72.
