TC's Blake Bourelle Wins Northern California Regional Golf Tournament

Former Stockdale golfer Blake Bourelle continued his standout sophomore year at Taft College with a NorCal Regional individual championship last weekend.

Bourelle shot a 68 and 74 during the 36-hole competition, finishing the tournament 2-under par at Dragonfly Golf Club in Madera. He was also named Player of the Year in the Central Valley Conference, winning six tournaments in two years and being the only player to have an under par scoring average.

Bourelle will play in the state championships this weekend in Santa Barbara with teammate Brandon Pinuelas, who also qualified with scores of 76 and 69.

Taft College missed moving on to the state championships by one stroke last weekend, finishing with a team score of 762 in 36 holes.
