Myisha began her coaching career in 1998 for Los Alamitos High School as the junior varsity coach.   She decided to move on to coach the junior varsity team at her alma mater Long Beach Wilson High where she helped her team earn the conference title in her two season of coaching at the level.  In 2001, she joined the Wilson girls’ soccer varsity coaching squad and the LBCC coaching team.  As the assistant of both programs, she helped the Long Beach Wilson High team earn two Moore League Titles and also helped Maurcio Ingrassia (currently the Head Coach of Long Beach State) coach their team to win two State Championships and national rankings.  Several players that she coached at Long Beach City moved on to play Division I and Division II soccer.

Eventually, Myisha found her home at Taft College where she began as the assistant of the men’s soccer team from 2003 to 2006. She later moved over to the women’s program as the head coach in the inaugural season.  In the past four years of coaching the Lady Cougars, she has helped her team attain 2nd place in the Central Valley Conference for the past two seasons with the hope of earning a spot in play-offs for seasons to come.

Myisha began her soccer career as a player and has been playing over 23 years.  At Wilson High School, she was a 4-time Moore League first teamer, 2-time Moore League Defensive Player of the Year, 3-time team MVP.  She continued playing soccer at Long Beach City College where she was the starting midfielder and team captain.  There she helped her team win its first ever state title and earn a national ranking for the first time in history.  Myisha earned the Conference MVP and State Playoff MVP (1997).  She transferred to Long Beach State to follow her aspirations of playing division I soccer, but did not find that team to be a good fit, so she decided to go with her brother over to CSU Dominguez Hills where she was a 2-year team captain, team MVP, and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Myisha has finished her soccer career playing for national ranked AJAX of America.  With AJAX, Myisha has had the opportunity to play alongside and against some of the top athletes in the world.  She has also been fortunate enough to travel to Korea to play in the “Tournament of the Nations”.

Myisha currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Athletic Training and a Minor in Biology from CSU Dominguez Hills. She received her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2006 from Fresno Pacific University and hopes to continue with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Sport.  Because of Myisha’s accomplishments as a player, student, and coach, Long Beach City College gave her the honor of becoming an inductee into the Long Beach City College Hall of Champions in 2007.
