Severo hails from Surigao Sur, Mindanao, Southern Philippines. He is currently serving as vice president of student services at Taft College overseeing several departments and support services in student services division, including student conduct, campus safety and security, Title IX and Athletics.
He joined Taft College in 2017 after serving for 5 years as dean of enrollment services at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL from 2011-2016 where his former Moraine Valley student basketball player, Richaun Holmes, was drafted by Philadelphia Sixers NBA team in 2015. He was promoted to serve as dean of student development at Lone Star College-North Harris, Houston, Texas in 2007 after promoting student access and equity as associate director of admisisons and registration and assistant dean of enrollment management from 1993 to 3007.
He is currently serving as co-chair to the Al Baldock Classic Golf Tournament and Hall of Fame committees and actively pursuing his doctoral degree in educational leadership and management at Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
