Cougars Volleyball Falls to Fresno City on the Road

TAFT, CA - Taft College Women's Volleyball challenged the Fresno City College Rams in Fresno, CA for their final conference road match of the season on November 3rd.

Fresno dominated the first two sets, 13-25 and 14-25. As for the third set, the Cougars weren't going down without a fight. Fresno took the lead, starting off with the first five points. However, TC pushed back and got ahead of the Rams. But it wasn't for long, the Rams gained another lead over the Cougars, tying the match at 19. At this point it was anybody's game, the third set was up for grabs, Taft took charge and went on a three-point run, making the score 22-19. Ultimately, it was the Rams who came out on top, taking the third and final set 23-25.

Sophomore setter ShaCe Niu had a few words regarding their final road match of her volleyball career at Taft College, "The love I have for this team and this program is unconditional. It's beyond words and I've truly cherished every game I've been able to play with them. These girls are my sisters and I'm forever grateful to have been able to play with each and every single one of them."

The Cougars host West Hills College Lemoore on Wednesday, November 8th for their Salute to Service match, followed by Reedley College on Friday, November 10th for Sophomore Night to close out the 2023-2024 regular season.
