Five Cougars earned a total of six All-Central Valley Conference postseason awards following the close of the 2022 Taft College women's volleyball season.

Leading the way was freshman Kailee Wakatake as she was named the Central Valley Conference Libero of the Year. She was also one of three Cougars to take home first-team All-CVC honors.

Wakatake led the conference with 467 digs on the season, averaging 5.25 per set. Her 46 aces ranked second in the CVC. Wakatake is originally out of Kalani High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Named first-team all-conference for TC were Wakatake, sophomore outside hitter Jada Dias (McKinley HS/Honolulu, HI), and freshman setter ShaCe Niu (Kahuku HS/Laie, HI).

For Dias, it was her second consecutive first-team All-Central Valley Conference selection.

Second-team honors went to freshman right side Bethany Himalaya (Kapolei HS/Kapolei, HI) and freshman outside hitter Payton Marshall (North Bend HS/North Bend, OR).

The Cougars recently wrapped up an impressive 2022 season under second-year head coach Mallori Rossi. Taft compiled a 17-10 overall record and advanced to the second round of the Northern California Regional Playoffs. With a 12-4 mark, TC finished in third place in the highly-competitive Central Valley Conference.
