TAFT – An impressive run for the Taft College women's volleyball team continued on Friday as the Cougars rolled to a 3-0 sweep of visiting Reedley College.

TC won the Central Valley Conference match by scores of 25-10, 25-4, and 25-11 to improve to 9-5 overall and 5-1 in the CVC. The Cougars have won seven of their last eight matches, the lone loss during that streak to No. 7 state-ranked Fresno City College.

All five of Taft's conference victories have come by sweep. On Wednesday, the Cougars won 25-20, 25-20, 25-17 at West Hills College Lemoore.

Fresno City was too much for Taft as the Rams won the match 25-16, 25-18, 25-18 on Sep. 23. Dias paced the Cougars' offense once again with 9 kills, Wakatake had 9 digs, and Niu posted 18 assists.

The Cougars return to action on Wednesday (Oct. 5) when they travel to Visalia for a 6 p.m. Central Valley Conference match at College of the Sequoias.
