Taft College @ Fresno City College

Taft College falls short on an away game at Fresno City College on 10/13/17 in 3 sets; 25-21, 25-22, 25-15. Fresno City is leading the Central Valley Conference with an undefeated record.  It was a hard fought match with Taft leading early in set one and two with Fresno City slowly coming back to win both sets.  Jazlyn Bulatao and Allison Mizener had leading points behind the service line followed by Erin Fujitani. Jazlyn Bulatao served 12 times behind the service line bringing in 9 points, Allison Mizener serving 10 times with 1 ace and bringing in 7 points, followed by Erin Fujitani with 4 points and 1 ace. The kill leaders were Erin Fujitani with 9 kills, followed by Jazlyn Bulatao and Madisen Dougherty with 4 kills. Offensively Emily Salazar had 21 assists and defensively Allison Mizener and Madisen Dougherty both had 13 digs, followed by Erin Fujitani with 11 digs. Overall, it was a close game that showed the hard work and dedication your Taft Cougars put in as they improved playing Fresno City for their 2nd round of conference. Taft College will take on West Hills College at home on Wednesday October 18th at 6pm .
