Taft College improved to 5-3 in the Central Valley Conference and 8-12 overall with a 3-0 sweep Friday in the Al Baldock Cougar Sport Center. The Cougars won 25-9, 24-11 and 25- 19 with three former Taft High players -- Allison Mizener, Emily Salazar and Kaylee Neher -- playing significant roles.
