Breast Cancer Awareness Game vs Porterville College

At the Breast Cancer Awareness game on Friday evening, Taft College volleyball defeated Porterville College in 3 sets, 25-9, 25-11 and 25-19.  Taft College jumped out to early leads in both the 1st and 2nd set.  Allison Mizener spent some time at the serving line in the second set.  When she began serving, the score was 14-11.  Allison served for 11 straight points, winning the set 25-11.  The kill leaders were Erin Fujitani with 10 kills, followed by Jazlyn Bulatao with 7 and Madison Dougherty with 5 kills.  To add to the offense, Emily Salazar had 27 assists.  Defensively, Allison Mizener led the team in digs with 15 digs followed by Jazlyn Bulatao with 12 digs and Erin Fujitani with 9.  

The evening was a great success.  The gym was decked out with pink camouflage ribbons following the theme, "Battle Against Breast Cancer".  There were a number of opportunities to win prizes.  Thank you to the many folks who attended the game.  And thank you to the folks and businesses who donated prizes.  The proceeds will remain in our community helping those who are in need.
