It was a very long first half for the Cougars. While the Giants continued sending the ball into Taft's defense the Cougars kept attempting to get control of the game and use their passing to their advantage.

Taft was not going out of the first half without the game in their favor so in the 40th minute, Delia Bocanegra ( #10) received a punt from keeper Natalia Navarro (#1) and was able to cross the ball to the far side of the goal where Mariana Sagasta (#30) put it away.

The second half of the game seemed like muscle memory for the Cougars as they were maintaining possession back and forth. When the ball was not at their feet they made sure to get it back as soon as possible. This high possession led Heaven Mejia (#7)  to receive the ball and find her open forward Delia Bocanegra, who then scored off a 2v1 versus the Giants' keeper and defender.

The last goal was scored when Alyssa Sanchez (#12) won a ball in the air which allowed her to pass to Jennifer Vera's (#14) feet who then turned and released the ball to Delia Bocanegra where she was yet again in another 2v1 battle, which ended in her favor since she scored with her left foot.

The final score was three nil, another win, and a shutout for Taft. The Cougars will take on West Hills College this Friday the 7th at home at 6 PM.
