Sophomore Alyssa Irey turned in a card of 84 to lead Taft College at Conference Tournament #5 on Thursday. The event took place at the par-72 Kings River Golf & Country Club in Kingsburg.
Irey, originally out of Frontier High School in Bakersfield, shaved three strokes off her total from last week's conference tourney.
The Cougars had just two others score as freshman Belen Delgado had to withdraw from the event. Sophomore Isabella Salazar Martinez shot 126 and sophomore Aylinne Narvaez-Torres completed her round with a 140.
TC returns to action on Monday (Mar. 8) when it hosts Conference Tournament #6 at Buena Vista Golf Course in Taft.
