The Taft College women's golf team was back at Kings River Golf & Country Club to compete in the first major Big 8 Conference tournament of the season. The Cougars entered the event in sixth place in the conference standings and even though they didn't play well, they kept their position which would quality for the Regional tournament if the season ended today.
Taft shot a combined 425 at the event and was led by Alyssa Irey's 96. Other scores for the Cougars:

Conference-leading Reedley College won the event with a team score of 325. The Tigers' Moncia Yu took medalist honors with a 77. She currently leads the conference.
