"The game was good to have after a great show out with our community skills clinic earlier. We had a great showing and experience at the clinic, and those participants were able to watch the game as well. It was a great experience between fans and our players. I was also glad to see that our players didn't let a previous lost game affect the next game. All players played and continued to make individual and team improvements," said Taft College Head Women's Basketball Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr.

Cougar sophomore Brandy Edwards had a double-double leading the game with 25 points and collecting 10 rebounds. Edwards also had 6 assists and a game high of 5 steals. Siera Bradford a game high of 6 assists and scored 12 points. Jasmeen Lemons scored 12 points and had 3 steals. Celicia Enos scored 10 points. Yareli Gomez joined Edwards with a game high of 5 steals, along with 8 rebounds and 7 points. "It was a great team win," said Coach Lagmay.
