FRESNO – The 2022 Taft College softball season came to a close following the Cougars' 7-0 Central Valley Conference loss at Fresno City College on Thursday.
The game remained close through the first four innings as TC starting pitcher Emma Silva and FCC's Brianna Duncan held their opponents scoreless.
But the Rams got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with two runs and broke the game open by scoring five times in the sixth.
Silva took the loss after allowing six runs (four earned) and 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Taft wrapped up the season with an 11-26 overall record and finished tied for fourth place in the final Central Valley Conference standings at 5-10.
