Taft College sophomore catcher Allie Dobbs earned first-team All-Central Valley Conference honors on Saturday following her impressive final season. She was joined by sophomore Jade Martinez on the All-CVC second team while freshmen Abrianna Carr, Cierra Papademetriou, Calli Martin, and Kaitlyn Allen were honorable mention selections.

Dobbs, who had already signed with Cal State Bakersfield prior to the start of the year, closed the regular season as the state leader in home runs with 15. Her 45 RBI ranked 13th in the state and was second in the CVC.

She batted .344 on the year and led the Cougars with 40 runs, 42 hits, and compiled a .770 slugging percentage. From behind the plate, Dobbs threw out nine attempted base stealers and committed just two errors in 106 total chances.

Martinez totaled 29 hits this season and led Taft with 17 walks. The shortstop was second on the Cougars with 35 runs.

Carr compiled an 8-13 record in the circle for Taft and tossed a team-high 140 innings. Papademetriou smacked 4 home runs and had 22 RBI. Martin led TC with a .347 batting average and 8 doubles while Allen had 34 hits, scored 31 runs, and stole a team-best 10 bases.
