TAFT, CA – (photo by Rachel Sasi) After a competitive match against Santa Barbra College last Friday on September 15, Taft College Men's Soccer earned a significant point at home. The game ended in a draw with the score staying at 0-0.

Taft College started off strong with some early chances created but could not capitalize. Santa Barbara kept calm and created chances of their own but could not find the back of the net.

Going into halftime, both teams were at 0-0 not being able to score on their chances. It was still all to play in the second half.

Taft looked to make some tactical changes going into the second half of this competitive match to try and come out with a victory.

Both teams put up a fight in the second half with Taft having the clearer chances but just couldn't score. It was an outstanding performance by Taft's goalkeeper Brian Tifuno, who kept a clean sheet after having some amazing saves.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Cougars looks to bounce back on the road this Tuesday, September 19 against Cerritos College. Kickoff starts at 4:00 pm.
