Cougars have three earn All-CVC men’s soccer honors

Following the close of the 2021 regular season, Taft College had three members of its men's soccer team receive Central Valley Conference postseason honors by opponent coaches.

Leading the list is sophomore midfielder Joel Rivera (Wasco HS). He was a first-team All-CVC selection.

Earning second-team accolades were sophomore midfielder Ernesto Velazquez (Wasco HS) and freshman forward Aldo Pantoja (Garces Memorial HS).

Taft closed out the season with an 11-5-7 overall record under head coach Angelo Cutrona. The Cougars finished fifth in the Central Valley Conference with a 3-4-3 mark and made their return to the postseason after a one-year absence, advancing to the second round of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
