No. 12 Taft travels to No. 4 De Anza for Round 2 playoff game

No. 12-seeded Taft College is headed to No. 4 De Anza College for its second-round game of the Northern California Regional Playoffs. The contest is set for Wednesday (Nov. 24) at 2 p.m. in Cupertino.

Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.

Soccer event parking is free and is available in Lot C, in and near the Stelling Parking Structure at De Anza. Additional spectator guidelines for the college are available online at https://deanzasports.com/information/visitors_information.

Taft takes a 11-4-7 record into Wednesday's game after advancing 3-1 on penalty kicks at No. 5 Butte College on Friday night.

De Anza edged No. 13 Lake Tahoe Community College 1-0 on Saturday to advance to Round 2. De Anza is 13-2-5 and finished second in the Coast Conference South Division with a 7-1-4 record.

Wednesday's contest marks the first meeting of the season between Taft and De Anza. Two more wins are needed by the Cougars to advance to the CCCAA Soccer State Championships on Dec. 3 and 5 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
