The Cougars traveled to American River College in Sacramento today. The Cougars won 4-1. American River scored the first goal in the 4th minute but Taft did not back down and came back to tie it in the 9th minute. The goal was scored by Hugo Magana and was assisted by Alex Cabrera. The first half ended 1-1 but in the second half the Cougars adjusted to their mistakes. In the 52nd minute Josue Cartagena sent Alan Perez a ball where he was able to chip the goalie to make it 2-1. In the 66th minute Eberardo Campos caught a loose ball in the box and managed to put it away making it 3-1. In the last minutes of the game Mario Rodriguez managed to put the last goal away to end the game 4-1. The Cougars got through 1 of 3 games so far for this week and will now prepare to take on San Bernardino Valley College on Friday and host Folsom Lake who are 10-1-1, on Saturday.
