Taft hosted College of the Canyons today and took a 3-0 win. The first goal was scored by Johan Rodriguez in the 18th minute and was assisted by Javien Cortez. The second goal was scored by Eberardo Campos in the 58th minute off of a well-served corner kick from Johan Rodriguez. The last and final goal was scored in the 81st minute by Mario Rodriguez and was assisted by Leopoldo Hernandez. Leopoldo had a well given cross to the back side of the goal allowing Mario to score his first goal of the season with a header. Overall the team went through some adversities with two starters not playing due to injuries and one starter being hurt in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Cougars managed to pull off a well-earned win. The Cougars now prepare for next week as they will play two conference games, Clovis on Tuesday and Fresno City on Friday.
