Men's Soccer Beats Oxnard 2-0

On Tuesday, September 11, the Cougars took a 2-0 win at home vs Oxnard College.

The Cougars got their first goal in the 18th minute scored by Leopoldo Hernandez who was assisted by Hugo Magana. The play all started with the ball at Clayton Torr's feet. The ball was crossed into the backside of the 18-yard box to Hugo who crossed the ball back into the middle and Leopoldo hit the back of the net.

The second goal happened the 85th minute and was scored by Alex Cabrera. Brandon Garcia gave a nice ball to Hugo so he could flick it ahead for Alex to have a one on one with the goalie and netted the dagger to end the game.

Overall, Oxnard College was very competitive but ended up being no match for the Cougars. The team will prepare to defend a five game winning streak on Friday, September 14 when they host Pasadena City College at 4pm.
