The Taft College men's soccer team continues to roll toward the finish line, picking up two more Central Valley Conference victories.

The Cougars shut out West Hills-Lemoore 5-0 and College of the Sequoias 1-0, teams they lost to and tied in the first round of conference play.

TC is 3-1-3 in the conference and 12-3-5 overall heading into today's regular season finale at Clovis, a team the Cougars tied in the first round.

In the romp at Lemoore the Cougars put the match away early with four goals in the first half, then added another in the second for a lopsided 5-0 win.

Fernando Robles scored two goals to lead the attack. Gonzalo Rolon, Luis Martinez and Daniel Hernandez each had a goal. Fabian Roman had two assists with Steven Bogden, Jesus Vidal and Francisco Rodriguez getting credit for one each.

Fresno continues to ride atop the conference standings at 5-1-1 (15-1-4) overall, the Rams lone loss coming at the hands of the Cougars.
