PGA professional Chad Sorensen joined the district in Spring of 2017 to oversee and grow the Taft College men’s golf program and became head coach of the women's golf team in 2020. Since then, Chad has worked to build a program that strives for excellence, working hard to deliver the best experience he can to his student-athletes.

Chad is the Head Golf Professional at Buena Vista Golf Course and has been a PGA professional for over 25 years.  Chad participated in golf at Bakersfield College, going professional very shortly after.  Chad believes in building sound fundamentals which is essential to the success of young golfers.
