The Taft College Men's Golf Team played in the first of 12 Central Valley Conference events at the Fig Garden Golf Club in Fresno, CA on February 8, 2017. The 18 hole contest included the TC squad as well as teams from Reedley College, Fresno City College, and West Hills College (Lemoore). The best round of the day for the Cougars came from Tanner Leikam who shot 78. Blake Bourelle and Vance Millwee shot 82 and 85 respectively while Hayden DeFreece posted 99. For Leikam, his six-over-par round of 78 is his best score in tournament play thus far in 2017. The Cougars will be back in action on Monday, February 13 at the *Stanford Invitational hosted by Chabot College in Palo Alto, CA. The invitational will feature 13 other teams and will be played on the Stanford University Golf Course.
*The Stanford Invitational was originally scheduled to be played on February 6, however the tournament has been delayed to the February 13, due to inclement weather.
