Right hand pitcher Kaleb Hay is a 2021 graduate from Liberty High School in Bakersfield who signed his NLI to Fresno State University. Fresno State has a rich tradition with its baseball program, winning the NCAA College World Series in 2008. Kaleb was able to display his pitching talents in the NorCal Sophomore Showcase in October. Taft Head Baseball Coach Vince Maiocco commented, "Kaleb has a power-arm with his fastball ranging from 90-94 mph. He will be a top of the rotation starter for the Cougars this spring."

Two players, Owen Hayes and Jesus Gonzalez, from the Cougar roster have also signed NCAA Division I to California State University, Bakersfield. Owen Hayes is a 2021 graduate of Palmer High School in Palmer, Alaska. Owen is a corner outfielder, who also can play first base. Coach Maiocco said, "Owen was a 2nd Team All-Central Valley Conference outfielder last spring. He also participated in the NorCal Sophomore Showcase game in October."

Jesus González is a left-handed hitting centerfielder and right-hand pitcher. Jesus transferred to Taft from Ranger Community College in Texas. Coach Maiocco stated, "He's a 2022 graduate from Salvador Brau High School in Carolina, Puerto Rico. CSUB wants him to continue his 2-way duties while there next year.
