Former Cougar Greyson Barrett named NAIA All-American

Former Taft College baseball standout Greyson Barrett continues to rack up the honors at the next level. On Tuesday, Barrett was named a first-team National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-American for an impressive 2023 senior season at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.

Over 52 games this past spring, Barrett compiled a .415 batting average with 83 hits, 18 doubles, 20 home runs, 88 RBI, and scored 59 runs. His 88 RBI ranked third in the nation. Barrett was also named the Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Barrett played two seasons for Taft College (2029, 2020) and came to TC from Centennial High School in Bakersfield.
