California's number one ranked team, Delta College defeats Taft College 8-1 to advance to next week's Super Regionals in Stockton. Cougars RHP Kaivon Kealoha pitches into the 7th inning and allows only 4 earned runs. Jade Austin Smoot drives in Alec Olsen with a 1st inning RBI single. Tyler Gardner goes 2x4 with a double and Jacob Cruz adds a double as well. The Cougars finish the season 23-20 and they make the postseason for the first time in 26 years. The Taft Cougars are definitely trending upward. Go Cougars!
