The Cougars were visited by the West Hills Falcons on Tuesday for game one of a three game set. Micah McCulley started on the bump for the Cougars. He tossed 6.2 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 6.
A total of 5 Cougars had 2-hit performances. Kyle Gaura went 2-for-5 with 4 RBI's. Jayce Gardner also went 2-for-5. Alec Olsen hammered a 2-for-4 day at the plate with a 2-run homerun and double. Tyler Gardner went 2-for-3 and Jade Smoot went 2-for-4.
The Taft College Baseball team will travel to Coalinga for game 2 of the series on Thursday. The first pitch, 2:00 pm.
