Taft College lost an 8-1 lead on Thursday to drop game two of a three game set against Reedley. Tait Ludwick surrendered his third loss of the year by collecting no outs, and giving away 3 runs in the ninth. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk. Five total pitchers tossed the last two innings and allowed 10 runs.
Offensively, Wesley Hebert, Zach Jones, and Kyle Gaura went 3-for-5. Jade Smoot, Javier Ramirez, and Tyler Gardner each had two hit performances. Hebert, Smoot, and Jayce Gardner had homeruns.
The Cougars will travel to Reedley on Saturday for the third game of the series. First pitch is at 1:00 pm.
