Noah Sirkel and Jade Smoot had home runs in the first inning to set the tone for the match up with West Valley College on Saturday. The Cougars scored 18 runs on 20 hits to give the pitching staff plenty of breathing room. Alec Olsen went 4-for-6, Wes Hebert hammered a 3-for-5 day at the plate, Sirkel, Jacob Cruz, Kyle Gaura, and Tyler Gardner each had 2 hit performances. A total of 7 Cougars had a pair of RBI's. Bryan Santiago collected the win out of the bullpen with 3 scoreless innings of relief. The Cougars will travel to Antelope Valley College on Tuesday in hunt for their third consecutive victory.
